The 575 Series is our most advanced power steering gearbox to date. Leading the lineup is Part Number CP57503 for 1958-64 Chevy Full Size cars.
Developed from the foundation of our popular CP50003-2 gearbox, the CP57503 introduces several new design advancements that further refine steering feel, response, fitment, and overall driving confidence. The result is a gearbox that combines proven CPP reliability with our latest engineering innovations.
Unlike many steering boxes currently available in the aftermarket, the 575 Series features all new construction with zero legacy carryover. Every major component was redesigned from the ground up to create a gearbox that delivers modern steering performance while maintaining a direct bolt in installation.
At the heart of the 575 Series is CPP's exclusive dual thrust bearing design. These bearings allow the gearbox to be preloaded, creating a controlled steering feel with exceptional on center stability. Combined with the hydraulic damping effect of the power piston, the 575 Series helps reduce unwanted steering wheel movement from road inputs while maintaining precise control and driver confidence. The result is a more modern driving experience with improved highway manners, reduced driver fatigue, and increased steering response.
The 575 Series also incorporates a progressive valve design that provides smooth steering assist during normal driving while delivering increased assist when needed. Combined with a large 75mm piston, the gearbox offers powerful steering assist without sacrificing road feel.
