Mustang II Front Suspension Question

We're building a 1952 Dodge Business Coupe into a high-horsepower drag and drive car. We've decided that a Mustang II front suspension is our best bet for the project and wanted to see if CPP had a setup that we could make work on the car.

The inside-to-inside framerail measurement is about 24 inches.
We're looking at a 66-67-inch track width.

Is there a universal CPP kit that would work, or would one of the kits for a different vehicle have the right parts to fit? Will a drop spindle be needed or how do we figure out what to measure toget the ride height we need?

We do have Mustang II crossmembers that come close to your 24 inch frame width but not an exact match. The other limitation is track width. The widest Mustang II setup we offer is about 59 inches hub to hub. Since you are looking for 66 to 67 inches that is quite a bit wider than we can provide.

We would like to help with your project but with those dimensions it does not look like one of our kits will be a good fit.

Thanks for the info. Do you have any suggestions for a independent style front suspension we could modify to fit the car?

After doing some research, it apears that F100s have a pretty wide track width. What's the track width on your F100 kits? We could sacrifice some track width though wheel offset, maybe

Unfortunately, the F100 track width is only about 61 inches, so that still leaves you short of the 66–67 inches you’re looking for. Wheel offset can help some, but it won’t fully make up the difference. You may want to check with Heidts, as they might offer an independent setup that’s closer to the dimensions you need.
