My name is Travis Prowess from CTV Concepts in Gardnerville, Nevada, and this build is a 1968 Chevy C50 crew cab. We work closely with CPP on a lot of our shop builds and customer projects, so when it came time to choose a brake assist system for this truck, HydraStop was an easy decision.

The install was extremely straightforward. Everything lined up and bolted in without any issues. CPP supplied all the hard lines, fittings, and components needed to complete the install from start to finish. There was no guessing and no last-minute parts runs—everything plumbed right in and worked correctly the first time.

This truck tips the scales at around 12,000 pounds, so stopping power was a major concern. After talking with CPP, we decided HydraStop was the right solution to provide the additional assist needed to safely and confidently stop a truck of this size. From a drivability standpoint, it works great—the pedal feel is solid, the truck stops strong, and everything performs exactly as it should.

For anyone curious about the build, the truck actually started life as a Suburban before being converted into a crew cab. Combined with the medium-duty C50 front end, that transformation is one of the standout features of the truck and really sets it apart.

Overall, HydraStop has been a great fit for this build, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use it again on another heavy vehicle project.
