400 Series Steering Boxes

Few questions about the 400 series power boxes.
  1. Are these CPP manufactured boxes or are they an OEM box that is being adapted for the miscellaneous kits?
  2. What power steering pump is recommended for them?
  3. What is the thickness of the adapter plate for the F-series trucks?

Hey there, thanks for stopping by the forum!


These are brand-new power steering boxes designed and built by CPP, not reman or OEM units. You can use either a Saginaw “P” pump or a Type II pump, just make sure it’s producing around 1,000 PSI or more with at least 2.5 GPM of flow. We typically run a 1,200 PSI, 3 GPM pump here with great results. The adapter plate used on the F-Series kits measures 11/32" thick.
