Tino Garza from Maxwell Customs brought an awesome 1976 Chevy K5 Blazer to the SEMA Show, and this build nails the perfect mix of OEM style and modern performance. The mission was simple: keep the classic K5 look, but upgrade the parts that actually make a difference behind the wheel. Maxwell Customs teamed up with Precision for all-new weatherstripping and seals, tightening up the Blazer’s fit and finish while keeping the original paint scheme intact. From there, they refreshed the suspension, engine, wheels, and tires—giving the truck a big boost in drivability without losing any of its vintage charm.

But the most noticeable transformation came from the braking system, thanks to a couple of key upgrades from Classic Performance Products (CPP).

CPP Gear Installed

  • CPP Big Brake Kit
  • CPP HydraStop Hydraulic Assist Brake Booster System
These upgrades completely changed how the K5 feels on the road, better pedal feel, more confidence, and a huge jump in stopping power.
